Brush clearing & mastication in Utah

Machine work for the fuels that hand crews can't touch — overgrown parcels, steep oak brush, and juniper stands that have been building for decades.

CAPABILITY

Built around the machine

We run skid-steer mastication with chipping and haul-off support — which means acreage-scale fuel reduction, driveway and access clearing, and fuel breaks cut on real slopes, not just trimming at the lot line.

  • Mastication: brush and small trees ground in place into a low mulch layer.
  • Chipping & haul-off: slash processed on site or removed entirely — we don't shove the fire risk onto the neighbor's line.
  • Selective thinning: saw work for ladder fuels, crown spacing, and hazard trees.

KNOW YOUR FUEL

Gambel oak and juniper: the Wasatch problem plants

Gambel oak — the scrub oak covering our foothills — burns hot and comes back fast. Cut it and walk away, and it resprouts from the roots thicker than before. That's why our oak work pairs cutting with licensed stump treatment and, ideally, an annual maintenance plan that keeps regrowth from undoing the investment.

Juniper holds volatile oils year-round — firefighters treat them as fuel cans. The ones planted against houses in the 1990s are exactly what we pull out of Zone 0 most often.
