Attic & Gable
Large visible openings that may need a purpose-built replacement or carefully designed retrofit.
Identify vulnerable attic, soffit, gable, foundation, and crawlspace openings and retrofit them without casually compromising the ventilation the building still needs.
Windblown embers can enter openings long before a flame front reaches the property. Attics, soffits, crawlspaces, and wall cavities contain dry materials and are difficult to inspect once smoke or fire conditions begin. Vent work focuses on reducing ember entry while preserving code-required airflow and the function of the roof or foundation assembly.
Large visible openings that may need a purpose-built replacement or carefully designed retrofit.
Continuous or individual vents where geometry, roof airflow, and edge conditions must be preserved.
Low openings exposed to ground-level embers, debris, vegetation, and snow or moisture conditions.
Simply fastening a very fine screen over every opening can restrict airflow, trap debris, interfere with drainage, or create condensation and roof-performance problems. Product selection and installation should account for the existing assembly, manufacturer requirements, local code, and the total ventilation strategy.
Where a vent cannot be responsibly retrofitted in place, replacement may be the better scope.
